I feel the need, the need to READ!!

Okay, I am starting to get a bit burned out on Young Adult (YA) novels that are on the girlie side (i.e. love, relationships, etc.). What should I read next?

I am thinking about The Perks of Being a Wallflower because I am wondering if it lives up to the hype.....

Again, suggestions? :)

Thank goodness. ;) :P Okay, now that you've started to come over to the good side...

First off, you need to check out the Shadow Children series by Margaret Peterson Haddix. The first book in the series is Among the Hidden and there are seven in total, all of which are out already.

You could also check out the different Gordon Korman adventure series. He's a little less well known, but I personally love his On The Run series, which starts with Chasing the Falconers and has a total of six books - but there is also a follow up series with the same characters called Kidnapped (a trilogy).

Anyway, that's all I can think of right now. :)

If you like the fantasy genre, The Ranger's Apprentice series by John Flanagan are terrific! The first book is The Ruins of Gorlan.

Another author that I love is Gennifer Choldenko. Her newest book is If a Tree Falls at Lunch Period and its great! Al Capone Does My Shirts by Choldenko is another good read.

Enjoy!
